Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website and services. By requesting a quote, booking a move, paying a deposit, or using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Services

We provide residential and commercial moving, packing, loading, unloading, furniture assembly/disassembly, and specialty moving services, subject to availability.

2. Estimates and Pricing

All quotes are estimates unless confirmed in writing as a flat rate. Additional charges may apply for long carry distances, stairs or elevator delays, heavy or oversized items, disassembly or reassembly, packing materials, storage or extra stops, access difficulties, and last-minute changes.

3. Deposits and Payment

A deposit may be required to confirm your booking. Deposits are non-refundable if cancelled within 48 hours of the scheduled move. Full payment is due upon completion of the move. We accept cash, e-transfer, and major credit cards.

4. Cancellations and Rescheduling

Cancellations made more than 48 hours in advance will receive a full deposit refund. Cancellations within 48 hours may forfeit the deposit. Rescheduling is subject to availability and must be requested at least 24 hours in advance.

5. Liability and Claims

EC Movers Ltd carries liability insurance for all moves. In the event of damage, clients must document the damage on the delivery receipt and notify us within 48 hours.

6. Client Responsibilities

The client is responsible for ensuring clear and safe access to pickup and delivery locations, all items are packed and ready before movers arrive (unless packing is booked), notification of any specialty or high-value items in advance, and parking arrangements at both locations.

7. Prohibited Items

We do not move hazardous materials, flammable liquids, propane tanks, illegal items, live plants (long distance), perishable food, or pets.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada.
