How we plan an apartment or condo move
A smooth apartment move is mostly planning. When you book, tell us the building, the floor, whether there is an elevator and your booking time. We size the crew and the truck so everything fits inside that window.
1. Before moving day
Book the service elevator and loading area with your building, and ask what else they need from movers, such as proof of insurance. Tell us when you book so we can plan for it. If you are packing yourself, keep boxes a size two movers can carry, and label them by room.
2. On moving day
We pad the elevator and protect hallway corners and door frames before the first item moves. Furniture is wrapped in moving blankets, and large pieces such as sectionals, bed frames and dining tables are taken apart when needed to fit through doors and elevators.
3. At your new place
We place furniture in the rooms you choose, reassemble what we took apart and take our blankets and protection with us when we leave.
Walk-ups and narrow stairs
Many older Windsor buildings have no elevator and tight stairwells. We measure the turns, carry heavy pieces with straps and send enough movers to do it safely, so walls, railings and your furniture all come through the move without damage.
Small moves and student moves
Moving out of a studio, a one-bedroom or a student apartment near the University of Windsor? We do small moves too, with the same care and a clear flat-rate quote.
Free, flat-rate apartment moving quote
Tell us both addresses, the floors, elevator details and what you are moving, and we will give you a clear flat-rate quote with no hidden fees. Call (519) 566-8933 or use the quote form.
